Instead of vacuum-drawing tissue into an applicator cup, this machine uses flat cooling plates (cryo boards) that are applied directly to the treatment area and secured with elastic straps. The non-vacuum approach enables treatment of flat or difficult-to-suction body zones — including the entire abdominal surface, large back areas, and zones where skin folds cannot be reliably formed for suction cups.
Non-Vacuum Cryo Board Technology
Traditional suction-cup cryolipolysis requires the practitioner to form a pinchable fold of tissue that can be drawn into the applicator cup under vacuum. Areas with very firm skin, limited subcutaneous fat depth, or flat anatomy (such as the upper back or entire abdominal plane) are difficult or impossible to treat with suction cup systems. Cryo boards eliminate this requirement — the flat cooling plates are placed directly against the skin surface and held in position by adjustable straps, allowing treatment of flat zones regardless of skin laxity or tissue fold ability.
The cooling mechanism uses integrated refrigeration plates to cool the board surface to the therapeutic fat-freezing temperature range. At 5°C and below, the triglycerides within adipocytes solidify and crystallize, triggering fat cell apoptosis without damaging surrounding epidermal cells, melanocytes, nerve fibers, or dermal tissue. The eliminated fat cells are processed by the body’s metabolic and lymphatic systems over the following 4–12 weeks.
