Pico Nd YAG Laser Tattoo Removal Machine
Pico Nd:YAG Laser Tattoo Removal Machine — Q-Switched 1064nm + 532nm + 1320nm System
This Q-switched Nd:YAG laser system delivers nanosecond-duration pulses at three wavelengths — 1064nm, 532nm, and 1320nm — for selective photothermolysis of tattoo ink pigments and melanin-based skin conditions. The Q-switch mechanism generates pulses with peak power high enough to produce a dominant photoacoustic shattering effect on pigment particles, mechanically fragmenting ink aggregates into sub-micron particles that the body’s lymphatic system can eliminate without thermal damage to surrounding dermal tissue.
Q-Switch Photoacoustic Mechanism
Q-switching stores energy in the laser cavity and releases it in an extremely short pulse (10ns at up to 2,000mJ). When this pulse is absorbed by a tattoo ink particle, the chromophore undergoes rapid expansion within a time shorter than its thermal relaxation time, generating a photoacoustic pressure wave that mechanically shatters the pigment aggregate. The resulting micro-fragments (sub-micron size) are small enough to be phagocytosed by macrophages and cleared through the lymphatic system over 4–8 weeks following each session. Thermal diffusion to surrounding tissue is minimal because the pulse duration is shorter than the thermal relaxation time of the tissue — preserving dermal collagen and preventing scarring.
Hair follicles and normal skin tissue are unaffected because they do not contain sufficient chromophore concentration to absorb the laser energy to the point of damage at the fluences used for pigment treatment.
Three-Wavelength Clinical Guide
| Wavelength | Target Chromophores | Clinical Applications |
|---|---|---|
| 1064nm (Nd:YAG fundamental) | Black, dark blue, brown pigments; deep dermal melanin | Black and dark tattoo removal; eyebrow embroidery clearance; Nevus of Ota; deep freckles; age spots; safe on Fitzpatrick IV–VI |
| 532nm (frequency-doubled) | Red, orange, light brown pigments; epidermal melanin | Red and bright-colored tattoo removal; lip line pigmentation; shallow tattoos; epidermal lentigines; superficial pigmentation |
| 1320nm | Carbon particles (topical application) | Carbon laser peel (Black Doll) protocol: pore refinement, oil control, skin brightening, collagen stimulation without ablation |
