Q-Switch Nd:YAG Laser Tattoo Removal Machine
Q-Switch Nd:YAG Laser Tattoo Removal Machine — 1064nm + 532nm + 1320nm Nanosecond System
This portable Q-switched Nd:YAG laser system delivers ultra-short nanosecond pulses (1–10ns) at three clinically validated wavelengths — 1064nm, 532nm, and 1320nm — for selective photothermolysis of tattoo ink pigments and melanin-based skin conditions. The nanosecond pulse duration confines energy delivery within the thermal relaxation time of the target chromophore, producing a photoacoustic shattering effect on pigment particles that minimizes heat transfer to surrounding tissue.
Q-Switch Mechanism — Selective Photothermolysis
Q-switching generates laser pulses of extremely high peak power in extremely short durations — in this system, 1–10 nanoseconds at up to 2,000mJ energy. When the laser pulse is absorbed by a tattoo ink particle or melanin cluster, the chromophore undergoes rapid thermal expansion within a time shorter than its thermal relaxation time. The resulting photoacoustic (pressure wave) shock mechanically shatters the pigment aggregate into sub-micron fragments without the thermal diffusion that would cause surrounding dermal collagen damage.
The shattered pigment fragments are phagocytosed by macrophages and transported through the lymphatic system for elimination — visible as progressive tattoo fading over the 4–8 weeks following each session. The number of sessions required depends on ink color, pigment depth, ink density, tattoo age, and skin phototype.
The premium yellow crystal rod laser core ensures stable, uniform energy output across the full energy range, maintaining consistent pulse width and beam quality session-to-session. The dual water-and-wind cooling system maintains crystal and handpiece temperature within operating parameters during high-frequency (10Hz) treatment of large tattoo areas.
Three-Wavelength Clinical Guide
- 1064nm (Nd:YAG fundamental): Deep penetration (3–5mm). Selectively absorbed by black, dark blue, and brown pigments. Primary wavelength for body tattoo removal, eyebrow embroidery clearance, Nevus of Ota, infradermal freckles, and age spots. Low epidermal melanin absorption at this wavelength makes it safe for Fitzpatrick types IV–VI.
- 532nm (frequency-doubled KTP): Superficial penetration. High absorption by red, orange, and light brown chromophores. Targets red ink tattoos, lip-line pigmentation, shallow tattoos, epidermal lentigines, and telangiectasia. More selective for superficial pigment layers.
- 1320nm (optional — carbon laser peel): Absorbed by carbon particles applied as a topical mask. The Black Doll / Hollywood Peel protocol: carbon penetrates follicular canals and is explosively vaporized by the 1320nm pulse, producing deep pore cleansing, sebum control, and collagen stimulation without direct skin ablation.
