This professional-grade carbon gel is formulated specifically for use in carbon laser facial (Hollywood Peel) treatments. Applied as a thin, even layer across the treatment area, the nano-activated carbon particles in the gel absorb directly into the follicular openings and onto the skin surface, serving as the primary chromophore target for the 1064nm Nd:YAG laser. When the laser passes over the carbon-coated skin, the carbon absorbs the laser energy explosively — the rapid vaporization physically exfoliates and cleansing the pore walls from the inside out while simultaneously delivering controlled thermal energy to the surrounding dermis.

How the Carbon Laser Treatment Works

Phase 1 — Application: The carbon gel is applied in a thin, uniform layer across the face and allowed to penetrate into follicular openings for 5–10 minutes. The nano-carbon particles are small enough to fill the pore canal and adhere to sebum deposits and keratin buildup within the follicle.

Phase 2 — Carbon peel pass (low fluence): A defocused 1064nm Q-switched laser pass at low energy vaporizes the surface carbon layer. The explosive micro-vaporization mechanically exfoliates the outermost stratum corneum, removing dead skin cells, surface oil, and environmental contaminants.

Phase 3 — Treatment pass (higher fluence): A second focused laser pass at higher energy targets the carbon particles that have penetrated into the follicular canals. The intense localized vaporization destroys the sebaceous material and bacteria within the pore, while the concurrent thermal shock to the follicle wall tightens the pore opening and temporarily inhibits sebum overproduction.

The residual thermal energy from each carbon particle explosion diffuses into the surrounding dermis, stimulating fibroblast activity and collagen synthesis for cumulative skin texture improvement with repeated treatments.
